Our experimental design services are not generally accessible to people ouside of the Cambridge Institute. If you are collaborating with a CRUK-CI research group and wish to make use of these services please have your collaborator arrange the meeting, or send us a description of your work via our helpdesk.
Researchers from within the CRUK-CI are strongly encouraged to attend an experimental design session prior to collecting samples for the library prep service. Contact CRIExperimentalDesign@cruk.cam.ac.uk to book a free session.
Sessions run every Tuesday afternoon. We reserve two half-hour slots in our diaries and these are often full, please don’t be offended if we have to end the session and re-convene, you might have a very difficult project to design!
You need to complete the deisgn form to give us the background to your study in advance of the meeting so we can think about the best way to help.
At the end of the design meeting we aim to have agreed the experimental design, number of replicates and methods you’ll be using, whether the Genomics core is doing your samples prep, and if the Bioinformatics core is doing your analysis.
